Assistant Property Manager Job Description

The assistant property manager (APM) is the main point of contact for the residents for their team. The APM will ensure tenant satisfaction from tenant move-in through their move-out. – including assisting new tenants with moving in, handling and assigning maintenance requests, responding to tenant requests and issues, assisting with the lease renewals, and communicating with the tenants through their move out. The APM will work closely with the Property Manager to deliver value to the tenants, owners, and the properties in their portfolio. We are looking for an organized and motivated assistant property manager to manage a portfolio of properties. The assistant property manager will report to the property manager and perform administrative and organizational duties such as liaising with residents, collecting rent, doing basic bookkeeping, organizing property viewings, and overseeing facility maintenance. You will also be responsible for evaluating applicants and negotiating contracts.

Responsibilities

  • Perform “intentional outreach activities” including phone calls, face-to-face appointments, office3 drop bys, joining and attending networking groups, and presentations.
  • Fill, maintain, and work the active campaign pipeline.
  • Nurture the existing and past clients in order to create raving fans.
  • Identify new social media channels where our ideal avatar spends their time. This may include investor groups and forums as well.
  • Leverage all our email lists, polls, responses, quizzes, pm list.
  • Respond to leads quickly and efficiently.
  • Make outbound sale calls to various lead sources.
  • Manage new leads with aggressive lead follow-up and a high conversion rate.

Requirements

  • Strong relationship and rapport building skills
  • The ability to follow and adapt to company scripts
  • Must be able to navigate various software including, but not limited to, active campaign, Google Docs, sheets, and slides.
  • Possess superb communication skills
  • Goal-oriented towards achieving overall company metrics and personal KPIs benchmarks
  • Excellent follow-up skills
