The problem
Hiring Takes Time Before It Gives You Time Back
You need another good person, but finding one means writing the role, sorting applicants, interviewing and training, while you keep covering the work yourself. If you’ve tried remote help before, you may have hired someone who finished each task and waited for the next one, so you still checked, reminded and corrected. Either way, the owner or the most senior people keep doing work like this:
Customer Email, Calls and Scheduling
Intake, Forms and New-Account Setup
Billing, Invoices and Payment Follow-Up
Follow-Up With Customers, Vendors and Deadlines
Records, Data Entry and Reports
What's at stake
Every Month Without the Right Hire, You Do the Job Yourself
While the role stays open, you or your best people do the work, real time off stays out of reach, and you put growth off. Hire in a hurry, and you risk adding another person who only takes tasks, which gives you one more person to manage.
How we're different
We Write the Role Down Before Anyone Is Hired
When a remote hire doesn’t work out, the most common cause is that nobody wrote down what the person owned before they started. So every search starts with a document that sets three lines.
Owns
Preparation, scheduling, tracking, documentation and follow-up for the work you assign.
Doesn’t Own
Judgment calls, approvals, moving money, licensed or professional decisions, and the customer relationship.
Escalates
A written rule for the edge cases, so your RTM stops and asks instead of guessing.

Three models
Three Ways to Add Remote Help. Only One Puts the Hire on Your Team.
Takes tasks
A Freelancer or Virtual Assistant
You find them, assign the work every day, and check it. When they leave, you start over.
Rents you a seat
A Staffing Agency or Outsourcing Firm
The agency employs the person and often bills you monthly, with a markup on their pay, for as long as they stay.
Owns a role
RTM Direct
We design the role and run the search for one placement fee. You hire the person, pay them directly, and keep the documentation.
How it works
From Written Role to Your New Hire
Define the Role
We work out what’s repeatable, what needs judgment, and what your licensing or customer agreements restrict. Then we put the role, the experience it needs, and how you’ll measure it in writing.
Meet Screened Candidates
We search, screen and introduce matched candidates. You interview, choose, and agree pay directly with your new RTM.
Start Strong
Your RTM begins onboarding training while you introduce your tools and expectations. We check in with you at 30, 60 and 90 days.
Where our proof comes from
Built in Property Management. Open to Every Business.
We built RTM Direct inside property management, placing Remote Team Members recruited from 30+ countries. Outside property management, we’re [Jay to confirm: our track record outside property management], so every quote below comes from a property management client and says so. The process is the same in any industry: the written role, the search, your interviews, your hire.

Testimonials
What Property Management Clients Say About Hiring With Us
With the first round of interviews I found a solid candidate for my team who we have since added and thus far has been fantastic.
Scott HawkerAction Team Realty · Property management client
Nearly every member of our remote team has been sourced through Better Who over the past five-plus years. Beyond simply finding great people, Better Who has helped us develop them. One of our team members started in an administrative role, has grown into an Operations Specialist, and we're now seriously considering her to lead our entire operations department.
Jim ShontsPMI Elevation · Property management client
We have a spot for them as needed in our annual budget. Have 4 RTMS all through Betterwho and our first is now the assistant PM. Have we had ones not work? Yep- but that's not on them or their process and they replaced them. They literally changed the entire way we do business.
Steve PardonJMAX · Property management client
I have used BetterWho to find two different remote team members. We have been extremely happy with them and highly recommend this company.

FAQ
Ask Us These. Ask Everyone Else Too.
How is this different from a VA company or staffing agency?
With RTM Direct, there’s no vendor between you and your hire. You pay us one placement fee, hire the person yourself, and pay them directly, with no markup from us. You own the relationship and the documentation.
Do you only work with property management companies?
That’s where our track record is. RTM Direct Placement is open to any business. On the first call, we’ll tell you plainly whether your role is one we can recruit for.
Which tier is my role?
It depends on the experience and specialization the role needs: Tier 1 is general support, Tier 2 is experienced roles, and Tier 3 is specialist or leadership roles. We confirm the tier with you before the search begins.
Who employs and pays the person?
You do. It’s a direct hire, not a managed seat. If you’d rather employ your RTM as a full-time employee in their country, the EOR Upgrade ($500 one time) arranges that through a third-party Employer of Record, which charges its own monthly fee.
What if the hire doesn’t work out?
If your RTM’s employment ends within the first 90 days, we restart the search for the same role at no additional cost, up to two replacements. The guarantee applies when the conditions in the Terms of Service are met, including the 30, 60 and 90-day check-ins.
Our work is licensed or regulated.
Licensed and professional judgment stays with your licensed people. What an assistant may do depends on your industry, your state and your customer agreements, so we design the role around those rules. We don’t give legal or compliance advice.
Can they touch customer data or money?
Only within the permissions you document. We keep preparation and tracking separate from approval, bank authority and releasing funds. We recommend least-privilege access, a named approver, no shared logins and logged offboarding.
What security standard do you follow?
We don’t hold SOC 2, ISO, PCI or HIPAA certification. If a certification is a hard requirement for your customers or regulators, say so early and we’ll tell you whether we fit.
What training does my RTM get?
[Jay to confirm]
We’re solving this with AI.
AI removes work and speeds it up. It doesn’t own a role, resolve an exception or answer for follow-through. The question is what still needs an owner.
Tell Us the Role. We’ll Tell You the Tier, the Price and Whether We Can Fill It.
30 minutes. Bring the work you want to hand off. We’ll cover what the role should own, what it shouldn’t, and what the placement costs. If your problem is process or software rather than a person, we’ll tell you.
